~About me~

I am a student at Francis Marion University. I started in 2021, just a year after completing the Mental Health & Wellness program at SIIT in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. SIIT stands for Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies and centers its curriculum around education and Indigenous culture. Graduating in 2020 from the Mental Health & Wellness program, I was introduced to the psychological perspective of Mental Health. My experience was phenomenal as it allowed me to reconnect to my culture and traditions with Indigenous and Western texts and land-based learning. More importantly, it enabled me to begin my healing journey. Despite facing traumas and instabilities throughout my life, my determination to help others stems from the passing of my father in 2017. After obtaining my certificate, I decided to pursue the Psychology program at Francis Marion University. South Carolina has been an excellent environment for me and my family. My main goal is to share education about holistic healing and positive change, and to spread kindness and empathy. Still, I have a few goals ahead - grad school and pursuing a career with a respectful organization. In the meantime, I offer advice for those who need support and kindness. My goal is to complete grad school and obtain a career as a Clinical Social Worker.
